Cristina Cianci

Cristina Cianci was born in 1964 in Villaricca (NA). She lives and works in Portici(Naples).
Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples in 2004, she specialized in 2005 in Graphics at the same Academy. After her first interesting exhibitions in Naples,in 2010 she participates in the contemporary art exhibition “In Harmonic Balance” “Expò Napoli Palazzo dei Congressi Napoli – Molo Angioino, curated by Monteoliveto Gallery Nice-Naples.
Following this first contact, she is part of the resident artists of the gallery and she participates to many events curated by Monteoliveto Gallery in Naples, and inthe relevant international art fairs in the Principality of Monaco (2011-2013), Aix en Provence (2011) and the “KUNSTART 12 – biennal art fair for emerging contemporary art, Bolzano (2012).
While she is continuing her research concerning the “Madre Terra” exhibited as solo exhibitions (Sarajevo Supermarket Association, Castel dell’Ovo, at the end of 2012she participates in the Berlin Projekt International Contemporary Art group exhibition as part of the Cities of Europe Project curated by Monteoliveto Gallery at the Infantellina Contemporary in Berlin.
In 2013 winner of the NAPLES 2013 AWARD for Contemporary Art on the occasion of the America’s Cup in Naples, with the video installation “Untitled”, at the NeapolitanSection of the Naval League, curated by Monteoliveto Gallery.
In 2015 she participates in the 1st NAF Napoli Arte Fiera market exhibition of modern and contemporary art, Mostra d’Oltremare, Naples, curated by Monteoliveto Gallery.
In 2016 she is invited by Monteoliveto Gallery to be part of the 22 artists of the MadforNaples project with the closing event of official presentation in Castel dell’Ovo Sala delle Terrazze.
Since 2016 she continues her artistic research on the Mother Goddess by participating in exhibitions in Naples and Campania: PAN Napoli, Castel dell’Ovo, MACS Museum of Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
