Rine Philbin was born and grew up in Co.Galway, Ireland. Nestled between the Wild Atlantic Ocean and beautiful rolling landscape of Connemara. Gardener, photographer,animal and nature lover, living near the sea and a lake and feeling the smells, sounds and tonal changes in the ocean.

And never-ending source of inspiration. Rine Philbin is a self-taught and have been painting since primary school and now she paints full time in her studio. After having studied at Trinity College, Dublin, she gave up a permanent job to pursue her first love, art.
Nowadays she paints her local areas, inspired by the sea, mountains and fields, birds, pets, and wildlife that surround her. She works with all different mediums suchas oils, watercolours, acrylics and ink, experimenting with them.
Her art is in private collections around the world.
In 2020 Monteoliveto Gallery has appreciated the works of the artist and selected them to participate in the Contemporary art Fair in Paris 2020, postponed due to Covid-19.
