sara piazza

Sara Piazza was born in Como in 1979.
She approached photography when she was very young, but only after graduating in Environmental Sciences she enrolled in the Italian Institute of Photography in Milan, where she graduated in 2007. During the two years of attendance of the Institute, she gained numerous professional experiences, measuring herself with ever-changing technical difficulties.
Observation and photography of objects, her first passion, still life, and she begins her experimentation on lights and on the study of the artistic potential of inanimate objects, placing them in environments contrasting with their nature with the aim of creating sometimes ironic and sometimes alienating effectson the viewer. Photographing feelings, considering them not only as an expression on a face or a word, but a succession of images.
Since 2013 she has participated with Monteoliveto Gallery in numerous international contemporary art events and exhibitions in Spain (Swab Barcelona), France(Nice, Lyon, Paris) and the Netherlands (Amsterdam); in Paris in the art district Saint Germain des Prés in PARImageS, the group exhibition dedicated to Photography at the Etienne de Causans gallery in 2014.
Her works are present in the Monteoliveto Gallery stand at the AAF Milan in 2014, 2015 and 2016. In 2015 she is the winner of the Casa Museo Spazio Tadini Prize with the work Obsession, presented in Milan in the Food and Art exhibition. In 2016, 3 of her works are exhibited in the Principality of Monaco as part of the GEMLUCART Competition under the patronage of Princess Carolina of Monaco.  In December 2018 she interprets the number 40 ‘a Noia, in the Cities of Europe project, again in Paris, in the group exhibition Tombola curated by Monteoliveto Gallery.
