Series PRELUDES 2016–2023

Inventing a butterfly Photomontages on aluminium  91/30 x 140 x 2,5 cm, 2020 unique

Un papillon reveilleur dans Le jardin de Monet 90 x 140 x 2,5 cm, 2023 unique

PRELUDES is a series of dreamlike flashes, a succession of mysterious visions from the prairies of the unconscious. The images are mixed-media photomontages – their rough, drawing-like Cupids, Eroses and trolls look as if they have been surprized in the middle of some oddly unexplained act… These two pictures are inspired by mysterious nocturnal moths, the feral figures of children and adults from the artist’s immediate circle, the coarse acoustics of watercolours, and Claude Debussy´s music, whose glittering erotic surge with its fervently romantic tension never fails to carry us along with it.
