For the first exhibition in our Paris yearly project, the opening one, we wanted something that would make a statement, something important and of a certain appeal, so we chose a theme that we really appreciate and that fit perfectly in our annual thematic for 2023 (Ecological, Cultural and Artistic Transition):Cities of the World. Our lifelong project is named:Cities of Europe as we are trying to bring our artists, their works and our exhibiting ideas all around the Old Continent but for an exhibition related to this title we wanted to open it to the whole World!

In November it’s the month of Photography in Paris and as Monteoliveto Gallery has always had a particular attention to the photographic artists, we dedicate our November exhibition to what our artists can see “through their lenses”…The #ThroughYourLens exhibition will run during the whole month and at the same time of the big events of the city “Paris Photo” and “Photo-StGermain”.

Here you will be staying for 2 weeks at the Monteoliveto Home Gallery and get to know the city where we started everything, its historical and multicultural core and its surroundings, especially the Vesuvio area. From this experience you will create one or two artworks (during your stay or when you get back home) connected to this edition theme : The myths of foundation !
These artworks will be then exhibited during a collective exhibition in an important site of the city of Napoli, at the end of the project at the end of 2024 (or beginning of 2025).

Where you will have the possibility to stay in a cosy apartment on the iconic “Promenade des Anglais” for 2 weeks and create one or two artworks inspired by your stay (during your stay or when you get back home). These artworks will be then exhibited during a collective exhibition in an important site, at the end of the project at the end of 2024 (or beginning of 2025).
These exhibitions will be part of the general trend chosen by the Monteoliveto Gallery to define its events in this year and next: Artistical, Ecological and Cultural Transition (2023) and Art and Sports (2024).
