Sur La Route
Parigi – Napoli
November 28 to December 5, 2021
75011– PARIS, 15 rue Saint Bernard – 11ème Arrondissement

----------Andrea LU --------COLONNE -------- crayon stylo encre -----sur papier.. aquarelle 41x31cm 2018 ------ Artista autodidatta francese.

-----------------ZABOU M. --------------------Hallucinations - 90x84 cm, broderie et acrylique sur carte routière marouflée sur toile.-------- Vit et travaille a Marseille (France) The physical pleasure to mix colors, to have them burst one next to the other. To experiment on my own, out of curiosity I realized that my questions about life got channeled in painting. I had to forget that I could draw to paint with color, I'm still trying. Since I have a problem with inert matter, I prefer the living, but I try to challenge myself with the abstraction of the backgrounds in order to diffuse the interest of the painting overall. On a regular basis, I tackle what seems to be a problem in my painting, (something I don't always manage to do in real life). Painting is my therapy. It's a long process and sometimes I branch out to get dizzy and make myself believe that happiness lies elsewhere.

--------------- Alissa Thor ------ SUMMERTIME - olio su tela --------- ------------ Artista francese, nata a Parigi. Alissa Thor oggi vive e crea a Rouen in Normandia.

-----------------Peter SHERMAN ------------------------------- Born in London and currently living and working in Sweden, Peter Sherman is a painter, photographer, choreographer and collector of movement. His art centres entirely around dance and performance and as such he has worked with professional and amateur dancers as well as people without any dance education, all in his search for movements. Sherman’s forms and compositional configurations are rendered more dramatic by his skilful use of light and shadow, which effectively highlights the strength and serenity of the dancers’ bodies but also underscores the emotion that lies within. His paintings show glimpses of modern day life that are beautiful when captured by dance choreography. Fascinated by the play of light, contemporary dance has given him a whole new vocabulary of movements that express human emotions conveyed by “frame by frame” body movements where limbs, muscles, shadow and light represent a balanced whole, is key to his work. After his solo exhibitions in Nice in 2012 and in Paris in 2013, both curated by Monteoliveto Gallery, Peter Sherman is represented by MG throughout Europe art fairs in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Lausanne, Spain, Italy and participates to the Cities of Europe Project in Milan, Paris, London, Imperia and on the island of Capri where he was awarded of the Public Prize in 2017. A new series of giclée works has been realized through “Meshulash”, a new dance project, paintings and photographs capturing the beautiful movements created by 3 dancers. Recently Peter Sherman has showed in London and Paris a special exhibition celebrating Smirja’s triumph over Idiopathic Scoliosis, an astonishing performance with a complete sense of control of the space around her, body flow and an acute awareness of the music playing, that has become her fight against idiopathic scoliosis.

--------------Dominique Jeanne Benguigui --------------------- artista pittrice, vive e lavora a Parigi.

Born in 1993, Roxanne Hemery, a Franco-Finnish painter. Roxanne obtained her degree in Graphic Arts in Paris and then moved to London to continue her studies in Painting at the Art Academy London Bridge, while simultaneously pursuing a degree in Communication Media at Paddington Arts Westminster. Following this, Roxanne resumed her post-graduate studies in France at the Ecole des Arts de la Sorbonne, where she obtained a Master's degree in Contemporary Creation. Roxanne uses gesture throughout her artistic practice to express sensation and emotion. The artist explores the coexistence of painting and impulsiveness, and the duality between form and formlessness by confronting the disparity between abstraction and figuration, and treading the discordance between intentionality and unintentionality. Throughout her artistic career, Roxanne has prioritized gestural and emotional freedom. This can be summarized through the question which she seeks to explore through painting - is letting go essential to the act of creation? Roxanne is the founder and director of an international contemporary art gallery, Yellow Cube Gallery. She is based out of Paris, France. Artistic approach: For Roxanne, the canvas becomes an arena where colors and shapes intertwine and intermingle with her medium to create unity. Her gesture is liberating, dynamic, and seeks fluidity with the canvas. From expression to color, she offers a rendition of primitive painting where figuration and abstraction intermingle to create an energetic flow. By attempting to create this uncensored flow from the subconscious to the canvas itself, Roxanne treads the physical performance of painting with a deliberate impulsiveness that lacks any semblance of preconception. The anonymous bodies represented by the artist are a snapshot into her imagination and her own interpretation of human relationships in contemporary society. Interpersonal relationships are thus the center of her artistic research. She approaches the individual as an artistic subject through explorations of the human body. The body is therefore represented as fragmented. Dislocated figures capture the collective human struggle, resulting in an animated observation of today's society struck by violence and social-cultural injustices. “Growing up with an artist mother, I occasionally experimented with painting in the basement of my childhood home or later in a side corner of a studio apartment. For years, I used art as a catharsis from my left-brained career. After a sudden, recent health crisis, I started honing my oil painting skills, while bed ridden for nearly a year. Thankfully, I have rediscovered the paint brush and gained new focus and intention with my art. I am captivated by majestic skies, clouds, and horizons and many of those memories are featured in my abstract landscape pieces. It is my belief that we must remain positive no matter what life hands us, and, as a result, the depth and color that takes shape on my canvases depicts the intention of finding frequent moments of gratitude, resilience, and beauty.”
